Legal Document Storage Services
We provide secure legal document storage for your important documents. You have invested a lot of time, effort and money making your Will, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Trusts.
It is extremely important that they are stored somewhere safe and secure. Keeping your original Will, Lasting Powers of Attorney or Title Deeds at home is not recommended. They could easily be lost, stolen, destroyed, or even tampered with. When a Will cannot be found it can lead to:
1. Lengthy, unnecessary delays and substantial costs
2. The application of the intestacy laws
3. Your wishes not being known or followed

Do not risk the loss or damage of your documents.
2. Unlimited Storage
As well as your Will, Trust Deeds and Lasting Powers of Attorney, you can store house title deeds, insurance policies and any other important legal documents. There is no limit on how much you can store.
3. A copy of your Will
You receive a copy of your signed and witnessed valid Will but only after it has been validity checked by our specialist legal team.
We check all our clients attested documents before they go into storage to make sure they are valid and have been signed properly.
4. Certificate of Storage
You also receive individual Certificates of Storage
confirming the documents in storage and where they are and how to retrieve them.

No problem! Our efficient process at Portcullis Legals ensures a seamless retrieval of your valuable legal documents.
It is CRITICALLY IMPORTANT that we check the status and ID of the person asking for the Will(s) to be retrieved as no one would want their Will sent to an imposter or the wrong family member so please understand why we have the process below. It is for your protection.
To facilitate the release of the Will(s), we kindly request the following documentation:
1. Identity Check
Proof of identity for you/both parties, which cannot be photocopies. An online identity check will be conducted, requiring a mobile number and email address.
2. Signed Letter
A signed letter from you/both parties confirming the address for the original Will(s) to be sent. Please include your Will reference number(s) if known.
We will return the Will by special delivery (additional charges may apply for files exceeding £10).
Please note, there is a £36 fee for the retrieval of the Will, including the identification check and postage, applicable in all cases.
Feel free to call the office for card payment, request an invoice for bank transfer, or provide a cheque payable to Portcullis Legals Ltd.
